Well, I can’t say I’m caught in the stream yet…but I’ve at least stepped in. Twitter is a social networking platform I’ve resisted for a long time. I just never really saw the need for it from a personal standpoint, and I never imagined that there would be an educational purpose for it. My idea of Twitter was people letting the world know what they were having for dinner that evening!
As I’ve started finding people to follow a new light is being shed on this tool. I can’t say that I’m “there” with it yet, but I’m not going to throw in the towel just yet either. With the addition of the Google Reader in my world (which I’m really enjoying), Facebook (personal and school pages to update), and life itself, I struggle to see a need for adding a Twitter account to my list of things to update and manage. Again, I’m not giving up yet. I’m going to try to have a positive attitude and give it a really good shot. Only time will tell…
